These tournaments are hosted on weekends/holiday weeks, with one game on Friday (depending on the tournament), and 2 on Saturday with Sunday usually reserved for finals. League playoffs are included and are played in April.
Goal of this level is to:
- develop skating and puck control skills of the individual player
- basic shooting and passing skills
- concept of skating lanes (spread out) and team play (passing)
opportunity to try goalie position
Players will be rotated into different positions throughout the year to start learning the game flow and skills needed for each position. Primary goal is to get players skating well and familiar with carrying/controlling the puck.
